This Is Also What Friends Are For...

None of that Sissy Stuff

Are you tired of those

sissy 'friendship' poems

that always sound good,

but never actually come close

to reality?

Well, here is a series of promises that actually speak of

True Friendship.

You WON'T see

cutesy little smiley faces here -

Just the stone cold truth

of our great friendship.

When you are sad,

I will jump on the person

who made you sad

like a spider monkey

jacked up on Mountain Dew!!!

2. When you are blue,

I will try to dislodge

whatever is choking you.

3. When you smile,

I will know you are

plotting something

that I must be involved in.

4. When you're scared,

we will high tail it out of here.

5. When you are worried,

I will tell you horrible stories about how much w orse

it could be until you

quit whining, ya big baby!!!!

6. When you are confused,

I will use little words.

7. When you are sick,

Stay away from me

until you are well again.

I don't want whatever you have.

8. When you fall,

I'll pick you up

and dust you off--

After I laugh my ass off!!

9. This is my oath...

I pledge it to the end.

'Why?' you may ask;

-- because you are my FRIEND!

  1. Hi Tapestry
I love the picture of the darn cute!
And I love your friendship "list".
And btw I am grooving again to Christina's Dirrty.
    Here's to good friends.
    Take care

  2. I was inspired with all the friendly vibes going around, but also thought it was good to share some smiles!

Glad you're liking the music :)

  3. Oh I LOVE this!! Perfect timing at the end of a busy week. The list had me laughing out loud. Think I might print me a copy.

    Thank you.

  4. Loved this, thank you for sharing Tapesty.

  5. Sure! I have to confess that #6 is my favorite and just crakcs me right up every time I read it. :)

But they're all just what the Dr ordered most of the time. Such practical, tell it like it is, friendship is what we all need.

  6. LOve the picture and the writing to go wtih it, thanks

  7. Sure Jean, thanks for stopping by, it's a pleasure to meet you.
